Historic painting, and much more on walls, facades, canvas, wood, … Nature
A.o.t. Trompe-l’œil, faux architecture, Grisaille, wood – and natural stone imitation, figurative painting, portraits, heraldic, restoration, Historic painting on walls, facades, canvas, wood, …
Even as a child, I loved drawing, painting, photography, creating things with my hands – pottery, wood carving, painting on silk,… all materials I found interesting, and soon, I realized my passion and love for nature and classical architecture.
I transferred to Italy, where I lived for 19 years in Naples, surrounded by royal palaces, featuring paintings by the great masters, and archaeological sites such as Pompeii and Paestum, and started painting in oil – still life, flowers, and moments of Neapolitan historic life.

For all those who like to read BIOGRAPHY in long version
Even as a very small girl, my mother told me that I loved to paint, and as far as I remember, I tinkered, drew, and did crafts. Back then, watercolors and oil pastels were my favorites. During what felt like a cruel torture for a creative mind at Commercial Academy VB, it became increasingly clear to me that I wanted to study something creative after graduating from high school: Fine Arts and Interior Design.
To my great disappointment, however, a combination of these two subjects was not possible. This had been abolished three years earlier. So I first moved to Naples, Italy, to rethink things… and stayed there for 18 years. Marriage and our two wonderful children didn’t deter me from painting; my husband Giosuè’s cabinetmaking certainly contributed to this.
In my second home, I had „my painting balcony“ with a breathtaking panorama on the south side of the house. There, as a hardy Austrian, I could paint outside practically all year round.
Inspired by the stunning paintings I had seen in ancient, marvelous palaces and historical museums, and the thousands of years old frescoes at the archaeological sites in Pompeii and Ercolano, I began to teach myself some basic skills in oil painting and silk painting in 1996. Visual art had become my permanent hobby.
A painting representing Salzburg – oil on linen, 100 x 70 cm, and a smaller one (Vicoletto Napoletano, 20 x 30 cm) – in the typical Neapolitan style – were acquired by the friendly
Austrian Consul, Signor Ruoppolo, and can be admired in the reception hall of the consulate in Naples.
„La Pittura Napoletana of the 19th century“ – the colorful, old style of painting from that period – is clearly expressed in my paintings from this period.
For health reasons, we moved to Austria in 2005, where we built a house in Upper Austria, which naturally also reflected our love of Italian culture, both inside and out.
Here, until 2018, I worked primarily as a certified intercultural trainer for youth and adults, apprentice trainer, and Italian language trainer at various educational institutions (Wi-Fi, bfi, etc.).
For many years, I promoted my paintings at various Christmas and Easter markets.
To my delight, at the 2011 Peace Festival in Nussdorf, three of my „Venus Flowers on Silk“ from the Energy Painting series adorned the stage.
In 2016, I continued to pursue my dream. My hobby of painting wasn’t enough for me.
So, I began a part-time apprenticeship at the Benad Academy for Mural and Illusion Painting in Munich, Germany which I completed in 2018.
This included extensive training courses: from color theory to material imitation, design theory, perspective construction, folds and draperies, grisaille painting and trompe-l’oeil… to marketing strategies.
Since 2017, I have also been an archery instructor for the Austrian Archaeological Society (ÖBSV) and a lecturer with various personal development seminars for all age groups for institutes and companies.
In 2019, I participated in Bernhard Rieger’s workshop “Lüftl Painting in the Alpine Region: Over 500 Years of Decorative Facade Painting” in Diedorf, Germany.
In 2020, the time had come for me; my wonderful dream became reality. My passion became my profession. Since then, I have been working as a freelance artist, specializing in trompe-l’oeil (illusion painting) on walls and facades.
I primarily create wall paintings in acrylic or tempera.
I create paintings on facades using long-lasting, sustainable mineral paint and restore them also.
(I love to use classical music or music as a background while working. Beethoven is my favorite.
Realism, Impressionism, Portrait Painting, Illusion Painting, Decorative Painting, Facade Painting, Illustrated Architecture, Energy Paintings, Photography… on linen, silk, wood, walls, etc.
